Wide Open Spaces: My Healing, Your Invitation
Remembering Who I Really Am (And Why the Rash Is Fading)
When reminded of who I am—through family speaking truth:
• It’s okay to have righteous anger toward things that hurt, control, or manipulate people. What did Jesus do? He called those things out constantly.
• I love people. I want to help them become all they were created to be. My deepest desire is to get underneath them, push them up, and help if I can—that’s my heart for the Body of Christ.
• Not everyone will like what I write or say. That’s life. I’ve learned this giving prophetic words—some didn’t like the truth, but it wasn’t mean; it was love with a sting.
• My real audience—those seeking freedom, wanting to think beyond handed-down “facts”, yearning for Jesus’ light burden, the people messaging me with questions, the ones who don’t hate the messenger. You are my audience. And I’m praying for more to desire the wide-open spaces that aren’t new, just lost to some.
The religious elites may hate me—but they hated Jesus too. I’m in good company. Yet even toward them, I don’t hate back. That shift within me opens a whole new area for me. Isn’t that beautiful? Isn’t that just how God does things? This is how we go from glory to glory.
I have learned we aren’t weak. What happened to us didn’t define us as victims forever—it was an experience we survived, revealing our God-given resilience. We chose to love. We chose to serve Christ. We chose to love the body of Christ—because who we truly are is resilient, loving people made in His image. And the Body of Christ is far bigger than four walls. I grabbed hold of the strength He gave me and made it mine.
I now know the forgiveness is done and finished—not by me alone, but with God’s help and healing. With community reminding me who I am, the lie I’d accepted as truth was removed by God’s hand.
My rash… it’s almost gone. It’s back to the original spot and slowly disappearing. Writing this is part of the healing—sharing it with the world, hoping to help others.
Thank you for reading my raw journey. If any of this resonates, know you’re not alone. God is speaking, healing, and leading us into true freedom—one layer at a time.
