In Chapter 2 and Chapter 7 of  The Door Is Open, I speak of humility.  I look at the Greek meaning of the word within Colossians 3:1-13.  I go through the entirety of that scripture within Chapter 2 and then speak on Antichrists in Chapter 7 regarding humility.

Humility is a word thrown around the church a lot. Usually in a condemning way.

To understand what God had said to me those years back,” It takes a humble heart to accept the free gift and it continues to take a humble heart to run the race. Because it is not about your behavior or goodness. It is about Mine.”, we need to look at the word humble or humility.

From Chapter 2, Royal Law in The Door Is Open pg 35:

“Humility” is inside out virtue, comparing ourselves to divine Jesus and not others.  Humble opinion of ourselves.  We all fall short of the glory of God.

I go further in Chapter 7, A Little Leaven of The Door Is Open pg 94-95 to say:

Humility is simply being content with yourself.

What?!???  Being content with yourself!  Looking at Jesus and knowing—really knowing you could never live up to his goodness and his stellar behavior.  NEVER…even with him inside you—-your are you and he is Divine. It is as simple as that.  As our focus shifts from ourselves to Jesus things happen..miraculous things happen within each of us.  As things change within us…it always produces fruit.  It is not our production but his.  Our focus is on him not our behavior. This is God’s way.

To understand this in a deeper way you need to dig into my two books (see below).

May God’s understanding flow into your heart today, Darlene
