One of the places I live from always, no matter what, is that I am completely forgiven by God. Not just sometimes, not just when I say I am sorry for something…but always. One of the things I have written about in “Time To Really Live Free” is the fact that when Jesus said, “It is finished” he meant it 100%. One of my favorite quotes from, “Time To Live Free” is:
Church leaders had taught me you choose God’s free gift then you work to keep the free gift. pg. 8
A free gift means free. In 2 Corinthians you read:
Thanks be to God for the indescribable gift of him(self).
The word gift comes from the Greek word dōrea (1431) and is defined as a free gift, a gift without repayment. The other word here is indescribable which is anekdiēgētō (411) in the Greek and is defined as properly, inexpressible (beyond words); indescribable (inexplicable), impossible to estimate and is used only in 2 Cor 9:15.
When this is free it means it is free and it is so hard to describe this “free gift”. Humanity always feels like they have to repay for something they are given. Whether it be a gift for a gift, money for money, or time for time. It is difficult to just receive forgiveness, live in a place that your are fully forgiven past, present and future.
Then the questions come about sin, repentance, etc, etc, etc. What if I told you you have the wrong understanding of these words? Each of these words have been defined and supported with scripture in “Time to Really Live Free”. To fully understand this you need to get ahold of a copy and read Chapter 1-4 and 14 for sure.
