In my book, The Door Is Open, I discuss several signs of antichrist or anti-messiah behaviors, beginning with the scripture from Matthew 23:4-8 in The Message translation. Let’s delve into the first sign, as described in verses 4-5 of Matthew 23:
““Instead of giving you God’s Law as food and drink by which you can banquet on God, they package it in bundles of rules, loading you down like pack animals. They seem to take pleasure in watching you stagger under these loads, and wouldn’t think of lifting a finger to help.””
Remember, these are Jesus’s words from when He walked the earth, highlighting the opposition to the true gospel that I discuss extensively in my second book. Today, I observe this same behavior among many within the church, which represents the essence of what is antichrist or anti-Messiah behavior.
